Jeremie Heitz (SUI). Ski man, Anna Kankevich (RUS), ski woman,Francesco Fersuoch (ITA); snowboard Man, and Kaisa Harkonen (FIN), snowboard woman are the winners of the fourth edition of Nissan MysticXperience, Monterosa Ski, Italy.
After a week of very variable weather when new snow fall, wind and sun change the snow conditions of the faces, a great sun warm up the riders at the top of St. Anna, at Gressoney, in the Monterosa Ski Area.
Over than 120 riders from 20 Countries on Saturday raced the qualification. The level was impressive and riders enjoyed spectators with awesome lines. Hard job for the judges, headed by Cyril Neri, form Freeride world tour, to define the best 40 riders who won a place in the finales.
On Sunday morning all riders arrive in front of the face of St Anna. Even my riders not qualified joined the great atmosphere of Monterosa to claim their friends.
After a long climb riders arrived at the top. The snow was very variable and crusty on left side, The face was long and full of different lines. The level was higher than the day before.
Snowboarders started first. The Italian Francesco Fersuoch did an impressive lines on the most steep section, smooth and clean. All judges agreed for him as winner. Berny Stoll (Ger) and Cathomas Stefan (SUI) arrived second and third respectively.
Snowboard women started with great motivation and style. The best was Kalsa Harkonen, while Aasen Vivian (NOR) and Hollsten Mikaela (FIN), arrived second and third respectively.
Anna Khankevich (RUS) won ski Woman Category with a great line, fast and always in control. Fisher Hanna (AUS) and Slinnig Anne May (NOR) arrived second and third.
The big show of man skiers arrived at the end but spectators was astonished in front of the incredible lines of Jeremie Heitz (SUI) who chose a new line, steep and technical with a 15 m drop at the end. Judges priced him with the first place. A very impressive second place was of Joonas Karhumaa (FIN) who started aggressive since the first meters with its telemark. Third place was for Richard Amacker (SUI).
Nissan MysticXperience 2010 ends with new great experience for all riders and spectators on the wonderful mountain of Monterosa.
